Governance structure
The AI MULTIPLY consortium is directed by Nick Reynolds, Professor of Dermatology at Newcastle University and Michael Barnes, Professor of Bioinformatics and Director of the Centre for Translational Bioinformatics at Queen Mary University of London.
An Independent Advisory Board of international experts in disciplines critical to AI MULTIPLY has responsibility for monitoring and overseeing the overall progress of AI MULTIPLY’s programme of research. They will work closely with the Steering Committee, led by lay member Olivia Grant, to guide the project with and maintain a strong PPI voice throughout.
Central to AI MULTIPLY is the project’s Management Commitee (MC) which has overall governance responsibility and accountability to the Independent Advisory Board (IAB) and funding body. The MC meets monthly and annually with the IAB and Steering Committee (SC).
The MC is comprised of workstream leads and PPI members, and ensures the project delivery as well as keeping the research informed by PPI feedback. The project is supported by a Project Manager who also offers operational support to the project’s PPI team.
