The Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP) aims to become the most integrated and innovative Academic Health Science Partnership in the world. As part of this collective platform, we are helping NHIP to work with innovators to discover, develop and deliver new solutions in healthcare. This will improve the population health of citizens across the North East and North Cumbria region.
The NHIP are hosting a series of free 30 minute “Lightning Talks” to showcase the work of this partnership.
In the first talk you can hear how the NHIP are working together to tackle the effects of COVID-19 in the North East and Cumbria. Martin Wilson, Chief Operating Officer at Newcastle Hospitals, and Fiona Matthews, Dean of Research and Innovation and Professor of Epidemiology at Newcastle University, will share the stage for around 10 minutes. There will then be time for the audience to discuss the work with Martin and Fiona.
